April was an intense month for the Frenetic Array Xbox MW3 team with two LAN events on consecutive weekends. The team came away with a 1st place finish at ESGN Melbourne, and a 2nd place finish at ACL Sydney, racking up over $2,500 in prize money. The most recent even was the ACLPro Sydney LAN, on the 21-22 of April, and as always Fray had tough competition with the likes of Mindfreak, Vox Eminor & Cruelty Incarnate in attendance.

The NVIDIA Gear Up for Battle competition. For just two days in the heart of Melbourne, the top 8 Call of Duty 4 PC teams Australia has to offer, will come together to fight for the title of being the elite team of this nation. Fray’COD sailed through pool play with 5 wins and 0 losses, racking up 80 points for and only 23 points against, thus enabling the team to be at the IBISQ LAN Centre in Melbourne this weekend to battle it out to be recognised as the utmost supreme team in Australia.

The Frenetic Array Xbox Call of Duty team has had an interesting time in the past couple of months, including a significant roster change that has reinvigorated the team.

After coming off a high that was their epic 2011 season, the team decided to have a short break from the game, with star players Renzy and Geemon both needing to attend to more important matters in their personal lives. There was a clear indication at the time that the community felt as though there were a cloud of doubt over the team and its future. This was not true, however, as the fray players always maintained that they would not be going away.

With this break period, Renzy decided that he must focus on his personal life, and opted to leave the team. The players wished him all the best with what he needed to do, but immediately began searching for a replacement. They identified the perfect replacement to be none other than ‘Baked Poslayto’, a long time community member with countless experience at the highest level.

Geemon explained, “We had become inactive, stagnant and we weren’t playing for the right reasons.”
With Baked in the team, and also a tweaking of their game style, they were able to rediscover that desire to play.
“We decided we wanted to get back to being the best team in Australia, like we did when we came into Black Ops”, Geemon continued.
