That's right, the Frenetic Array LoL team have taken out the second series of the Mwave & ANTEC League of Legends Tournament powered by ESGN. If you don't know already the Mwave & ANTEC series, consisting of 4 online events dating from the 2nd of June until the 26th of August is open to all teams across Australia and New Zealand. There’s an impressive $1350 in cash and prizes for those who place up for grabs and at the end of the series the top two teams will battle it out for a chance to play against the prestigious American based organisation Team Dignitas in which should be an intense showcase match!
The boys got stuck into it early convincingly beating the two amateur teams 'OptionsLimited' and 'Burn the Koran'. The fray` boys then proceeded to play the well-known team of Reborn, even though Reborn had a strong team, fray` experience and mechanical skills made the difference between these two sides which definitely showed in the game with fray` winning this game 1-0. Soon enough they moved on to play Carnage in a best of 3 series in the Double Elimination Semi Final. Although the first game was one sided in fray` direction the second wasn't with Carnage pulling out the big guns crippling the fray defence early on with some quick kills. But the team of Frenetic Array played it safe and pushed through as the always do, being the better late game team fray slowly began out scale Carnage and get back into the game. With superior warding and team positioning fray identified an attempted backdoor and base-raced to victory winning 2-0 on the fulltime scoreboard.
Coming into Sundays play Frenetic Array hadn't lost a map and they were hoping they could keep it that way. Their first match of Sundays play was against Team GAMECOM in the Winners Bracket Final. In the first match with quick kills from raydere and heavenzcure in the early moments of the game, really set the tone leading to a 22 minute surrender from Team GAMECON. The second game was turning out to be the same with raydere getting some quick kills once again but GAMECON hit back quickly evening up the scoreboard. GAMECON shut down Raydere putting fray behind, luckily mid-game Aznmatty roamed down to help the team slicing through GAMECONs defences putting Frenetic Array back in the game. Once again fray` superior team composition led to kill after kill winning the game at the 31 minute mark.
Team GAMECONs 2-0 loss to fray put them down into the Losers Bracket Final against Carnage, with Carnage winning 2-1 to move on to play fray in the Grand Final. Fray only needed 1 map to win, Carnage was granted the early lead but not for long as fray fought back forcing Carnage to change their top laner for a mid laner. Only 15 minutes in, fray identified that Carnage were building up their items for a late game attack. The team of Frenetic Array countered that by forcing some mid-game action which paid off extremely well to finish the game off at the minute mark.

Our main stay League of Legends team are pumped to attend this weekend’s ESGN held at the University of New South Wales. Some of the best teams from all across Australia will be there to battle it out for the first place stage. The boys are expecting to take out the event coming off an impressive victory at the recently held Gigabyte eSports Championship Winter Slam held last weekend. This being the prime of League of Legends competitive held to date, there has been a lot of hype leading up to the event so we can expect a lot of professional teams all battling it out for the much prestigious first place finish. The overall amount of registered people that will be attending is currently clocked at three-hundred and three.
The team are looking very strong coming into this competition having only dropped three maps over the last nine months after placing second at the WCG Nationals competition held in Gold Coast, Queensland. Although there has been a major line-up change for the team with Obbie stepping down from the usual line up, he is now replaced with Aznmatty. The boys will be competing with a new line up consists of Kingpin, Domo, Heavenzcurse, Raydere and Aznmatty. There have been some speculations on how Matty is going to fit in with the team and how they will work with together, all though he had already showed how well he fitted in, performing amazing well when he filled in with them at the Gigabyte eSports championships.
Captain ‘King Pin’ had this to say about the team:
Aznmatty is a unique player, his decision making and ability to perform well under pressure is what sets him apart from the rest and he demonstrated this when he subbed for us at the Gigabyte eSports Championships. We also feel very confident now that he's in our core line-up. I'm also feel quite confident, but not overly confident. LANS are a lot different to online tournaments and anything can happen so i like to keep a bit more conceited going into these sorts of events.

Over the last year Australian eSports has taken huge steps towards developing a sustainable following that will allow it to take its place alongside its international counterparts. Over the last three (3) weeks alone ESGN have doubled their following and have a campaign planned that will continue this progress in the coming months. ESGN is very quickly becoming Australia's biggest and brightest in the e-Sports arena, which has spurred new interest from sponsors and gaming giants alike and signals an extremely bright future ahead.
The League of Legends community in Australia has become passionate about supporting the growth of both eSports and of the game itself. ESGN are dedicated to taking League of Legends in Australia from being just a small but committed community, to a viable base for a range of major eSporting events. Some of what we have already planned for this year is below, but don't be fooled we have plenty more in store for the League of Legends fans.
Earlier this year, ESGN's amazing Season 1 Online League of Legends Tournament showcased players from around Australia as they battled it out on the fields of justice for their chance to be named the best of the best. Thirty Two (32) teams were split across 3 categories Professional & Amateur playing for major prizes and a free to enter open division to give new players a taste of the action. After 13 weeks of intense gaming action the finals were held at Intime Cyber Cafe in Sydney and sponsored by Razer and AOC. Over two (2) days sixteen (16) teams went head to head in a double elimination marathon for their chance to win over $8500 in cash and prizes.
ESGN is now excited to announce the much anticipated Season 2 Online League of Legends Tournament with even more honour, cash and prizes at stake is going to go live this July. With ESGN rapidly growing eSports in Australia, especially in the realm of League of Legends we have opened up another competitive division providing even more teams with a chance to take out the cash and prestige that comes with a finals win.

Info: Season 2 for ESGN will feature 3 leagues (Professional, Main and Amateur) rather the 2 Professional and Amateur leagues previously. Many more teams will be able to compete and have their chance at taking home some cash prizes.

Info: The ESGN Intime Razer LAN marks the end of the online leagues with a 2 day LAN event where teams from around the country travel to compete for the title after earning their place in the online tournament.
As exciting as Season 2 is, the League of Legends community in Australia can't get enough of summoners rift and so ESGN has made sure to give all of our players as much League as they can handle. If you have never been to a live LAN event this is definitely the one to start with. The first of its kind in Australia the ESGN Winter 2012 event will consist of a massive $20,000 in cash and prizes for tournaments, live entertainment, trade stalls and exhibits, cosplay competitions, celebrity matches and a VIP area giving you the red carpet experience for the whole extravaganza.

Info: ESGN's biggest event yet with League of Legends and other games. Spectators will gain free entry and be able to meet some of their favourite players from around the country.

Not to be out shone in the prizes department though along with a selection of cash and gear prizes for the top seeded teams, the first (1st) place team will play an epic showcase match against Team Dignatas giving them a chance to show the world what they are made of.

Info: www.Mwave.com.au & www.Antec.com have decided to come onboard with League of Legends after success in hosting a tournament for another game, the tournament will be run across 3 months open for all teams to enter with the top teams fighting it out for the chance to play Team Dignitas in a showcase match.
