We here at Riot Games care deeply about the Air Guitar epidemic, and are devoted to finding fantastic League-based licks for our fans to properly handle their obsession. If you’re an awesome musician who finds inspiration in League champions, we need your help!
Create a Song about Your Favorite Champion!
Enter our Songs of the Summoned III contest by submitting a song based on, inspired by or dedicated to your favorite champion! Send us an MP3 featuring you or your band performing your song. We’ll vet them for air guitar-osity, champion love levels and overall awesomeness, then post the best for every League air guitarist to strum their invisible chords to!

Before you start composing, check out our official rules and guidelines:
- Submissions must be sent as an attachment to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. along with the summoner names of the composers/performers; they must also include an upload link to either YouTube or SoundCloud.
- Submissions must be no more than 3 minutes in length.
- You must create, write and perform the songs yourself. No copying other songs or submitting songs that other people wrote.
- Up to 5 summoners can be credited with one song, but their summoner names must be included in the initial submission.
- Submissions must center around a specific champion or champions.
- Submissions must be appropriate for all ages. Young air guitarists need rocking licks too, so keep your sound and lyrics family friendly, please.
- You can sample sounds from the League of Legends for your submission – including effects and quotes – but they cannot be the primary sound in your song. Flavor or accompaniment only.
- Every submission must be a 160 kbps, stereo, MP3 file. No other file types will be accepted and the technical specifications cannot vary. If you wish to send us something of a higher quality, upload it to SoundCloud or YouTube, then email the link to us.
- YouTube uploads must include the Champion splash as background, as well as your summoner names (in-game name) and regions in the video description. The title must include the phrase “League of Legends Champion Rocks” for us to consider it.
- Soundcloud uploads must include “League of Legends Champion Rocks” in the title, followed by your summoner name and region. The title of the piece may also be included in quotation marks.
Submissions are open and will last until June 25, 2012 at 11:59PM PST. Check out our Contest FAQ for all the information. You can submit as many songs as you like, but there can only be one winner! Check out the official rules here.
Don’t leave the legions of air guitarists stuck with third-rate heavy metal songs and repackaged elevator music. Give them a proper champion-based tune and let the epic strumming begin!
